Magical Mushrooms

The delicious autumn rain brought mushrooms in abundance. Magically, they push through the soft soil casting aside clods of earth to arrive in every shape, size, colour and dimension.

Some are clearly of the toadstool variety, some masquerade as truffles, whilst others are exquisitely beautiful but deadly. Still more are tiny, growing close to the ground and creating fairy rings, whilst more appear as tall parasols which are, apparently, a delicacy!

Below is a taster of the mushroom extravaganza that exploded in the field around our home. If you know names and whether they are edible please let me know!
